"Apart from me you can do nothing." —Jesus in John 15:5
"When we rely upon organization, we get what organization can do; when we rely upon education, we get what education can do; when we rely upon eloquence, we get what eloquence can do. And so on. But when we rely upon prayer, we get what God can do." —A. C. Dixon
We believe that anything of value that comes from our lives and ministry is the result of prayer and reliance upon the Holy Spirit’s work in us. We take seriously Jesus’ words that only by abiding in him can we produce the fruit that brings glory to God. While we often fail to live by and practice this belief, we desire to see in our lives an ever-increasing awareness of the power of prayer, a deepening dependence on Jesus for all things, and a growing sensitivity to the need for “praying without ceasing.”
It is with this realization in our own lives of the need for growth in prayer that we ask you to consider growing along with us. Would you commit to pray for Togo, for its people, for our ministry, for our family, and for others who labor here? We are convinced that without prayer, nothing of great significance will be accomplished here. We don’t claim to fully understand it; we simply believe and accept that God chooses to work through, and delight in, the prayers of his people.
We know you’re busy, and we also know that you’ve probably had good intentions of praying for every missionary you meet, but failed to do so. How do we know that? Because we’ve done it countless times too! Perhaps we don’t pray specifically for missionaries because we have no idea what is actually going on in their lives and ministries. We’d like to change that!
Whether in your car, at work, or around the house, would you commit to pray for Togo whenever you can?

"Missionaries to the world's unreached people groups are invading hostile territory. Many of these unreached peoples have spent centuries, even millennia, under the dominion of "the god of this world," and he does not surrender them lightly. Missionaries engaged in Church Planting Movements have come under severe attack on a spiritual level. Their health, their family members, their vocation are all subject to attack by Satan. Praying for them is the best defense they can have." —David Garrison
"A pastor [or missionary] who feels competent in himself to produce eternal fruit—which is the only kind that matters—knows neither God nor himself. A pastor who does not know the rhythm of desperation and deliverance must have his sights only on what man can achieve." —Charles Spurgeon
“Without prayer, even though there may be increased interest in missions, more work for them, better success in organization and greater finances, the real growth of the spiritual life and of the love of Christ in the people may be very small.” —Andrew Murray, Key to the Missionary Problem
